Do you believe there is a genuine fight against corruption going on in Kenya?

The President, his deputy and the government of Kenya claim to be fighting corruption. We have seen high profile arrests and arraignments but sill no convictions. Is this effort genuine?

  1. There have been some great effort made by our leaders in attempt to fight corruption but the problem is a lot of Kenyans struggle to put something on their tables. The individual interests we have will always create loopholes for corruption because everyone wants to accumulate wealth for themselves.Read more

    There have been some great effort made by our leaders in attempt to fight corruption but the problem is a lot of Kenyans struggle to put something on their tables. The individual interests we have will always create loopholes for corruption because everyone wants to accumulate wealth for themselves. The thought about community good becomes secondary. No matter how disciplined a leader is, as long as they work with these self entered individuals who care only about themselves , corruption cannot die completely.

    What we have in Kenya are side shows. The fight against corruption has been ‘weaponized’ to an instrument of political gain. If you support the government and you are corrupt then you aren’t hunted down. The moment you speak against the government, you are hunted day and night.

    Also, number 2 in this country is one of the most corrupt people in this country. But what does the president do? Sit and watch. On the other hand, ‘La Familia’ has turned the government into their own machinery to enrich themselves. Setting the engines rolling towards State Capture. There is no serious fight against corruption. Just a fight to destroy the competition in business using government machinery.
