Yes, the only challenge is it’s too costly for the parents, there are too many requirements and also patents are told to buy expensive books.
Initially it was very difficult for Kenyans to understand this new system however with the involvement with parents a huge percentage have accepted it. Personally it was very difficult for me to deal with it when my daughter joined school, the assignments involving parents were freaking me out. As time goes by, I have realized it’s the best thing that has ever happened to my child and I bet many Kenyans would concur with me.
challenge in implementing a competency-based curriculum in higher education is standardizing the mechanisms in which competencies or skills are assessed. This is because, being a personalized learning approach, CBC focuses largely on subject mastery, irrespective of the place, time, and pathway to completion.
CBC is not a bad idea if the government can set aside enough resources for implementation.
I don’t think so, CBC is too much work and costly for parents.
The country is not ready for CBC. Most parents are not in a position to bear the costs that come with it.
Kenya is not ready becouse some more facilities are needed to make CBC more better.Resources are needed to facilitate efficient learning
