Do gender roles still apply in marriage?

Do the wife and husband still have to stick to specific roles? E.g. The husband provides finances and the wife ensures the house is vkean and her people are well fed.

    Gender roles still heavily apply in marriage and the couples who don’t follow them are sneered upon. Society has a way of enforcing this roles through media, television, music, movies, entertainment… Everything is portrayed in a binary with clear distinctions on who does what. You can’t name a local movie where the women is a president of main leader. They try a little to make the politically correct portrayals sometimes and it still looks quite bad from a keen eye.

    I don’t believe so. I am personally not a traditional person anymore because I have found freedom in charting my own path. Most people would think I’m radicalized but if I am so be it. What has radicalized me? LOVE.
    I believe that as long as two people respect and love each other and that friendship is at the core of their relationship, then gender roles can be traversed and people can decide to help each other out as long as people keep the channels of communication open. I realized that if I stick to the societal rules and bou diaries then I might miss out on really good people just because they have not.
