Have you noticed what is happening to nature?

When we were growing up there was so many greenery and trees. I would see lots of fireflies flickering as soon as darkness set in and rain was much more frequent.

Today, you are very lucky if you even get to see one firefly at night. This may not be an objective way to measure the changes but I can feel that there something we did wrong to mother nature.

Urbanisation and industrialisation among other factors happen. Inorder for us to build those modern facilities nature has to be destroyed. The government came with the idea of planting trees but do we really preserve them?? or generally the environment? Alot of things have been turned it commercial items that’s why people would hunt wild animals and sell their parts to the highest bidder, trees will be cut down to make room for construction or water bodies be contaminated either by the sewage (result of poor drainage) or industries, domestic and factories waste. Its a topic that we talk about but still no change.

  1. Poss of connection to nature. People today don't see the world as a living thing. It is just a rock with some soil and water scattered all over it. That's why we abuse it and overuse its resources.

How many trees have you planted and where di you expect the other trees to come from? We wrongly assume that trees replenish themselves live weeds. In reality, we need to plant more trees, at least two for each one that is fell, to sustain what we have right now. It takes a few moments to chop down 10 trees but it takes tens of years to replace what you’ve cut.
