Education is important. The banter about degrees is just politics. It shouldn’t be the case.

When answering this question, I would like to speak more about leadership than politics… The word politics makes me feel sick. So anyways, education instills in a certain high level of skills into a person’s subconscious. On the other hand though, another way of looking at it is…. What if every person who wants to be a leader undergoes Leadership Management Training as a matter of requirement before they vye for any post? Degrees may be important…. But there should be some kind of ethical Leadership training, that is even more valuable, that these so called politicians must go through prior!

Education is fundamental to development and growth. The human mind makes possible all development achievements, from health advances and agricultural innovations to efficient public administration and private sector growth.First, foundational skills acquired early in childhood make possible a lifetime of learning. The traditional view of education as starting in primary school takes up the challenge too late. The science of brain development shows that learning needs to be encouraged early and often, both inside and outside of the formal schooling system. Prenatal health and early childhood development programs that include education and health are consequently important to realize this potential. In the primary years, quality teaching is essential to give students the foundational literacy and numeracy on which lifelong learning depends. Adolescence is also a period of high potential for learning, but many teenagers leave school at this point, lured by the prospect of a job, the need to help their families, or turned away by the cost of schooling. For those who drop out too early, second-chance and nonformal learning opportunities are essential to ensure that all youth can acquire skills for the labor market.

Education is power. Therefore in politics we have to elect leaders who understand what they’re Legislating on .But on Kenya Environment as long as one has money he can get any position he/she desires.

Education is necessary in politics but it’s different in leadership, which we need the most from our politicians.
