My favourite works of Maya is “The heart of a woman”
There is no Greater Agony Than Bearing an Untold Story Inside You. Even beyond her work, theres very little that is said of Maya’s life before the limelight, the challenges she faces asa woman having no food and shelter and even selling her body through prostitution to make ends meet. Despite this she came out stronger and became a better person moulded by these experiences.
My favourite works of Maya are here: I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. She speaks for many people including herself.
my favorite is “On the Pulse of Morning” (1993)
