Kenyans are not yet ready for a woman president. Not because women cannot lead but because they are used to seeing men dominate the political leadership position. Anoyher reaso is because women are not rising to challenge men in the presidential elections. Women themselves are not ready to be president.
But between now and the next 20 yrs, maybe the perception of men leading in vieing for political leadership will change and women will be ready to challenge their male counterparts.
with the right reasons and influence, Kenyans can vote for anyone. But it’s not that easy due to cultural believes and tribal bonds.

Yes Kenyans can vote for a woman president. As we keep opening our minds to newer ways of thinking Kenyans might be open to voting for a female president.
Kenya is slowly maturing politically and we can indeed have a woman president. However, there are so many related factors to consider like what another member shared: Can we vote for leaders who don’t carry the normalised “politician’s identity” stereotype? Once we change the idea in our heads of what a leader should look like we will be in a position to make better choices during elections.
