Child protection in Kenya in the face of Covid-19 fight

I have been left wondering. Where is the the place of children in this whole COVID-19 fight. Children are currently home with their caregivers, some children are highly vulnerable due to child protection among others sexual abuse, physical abuse and neglect. Who is fighting for the children’s wellbeing. Is it possible to fight this COVID-19 fight without creating more community problems?

  1. This is a very sad reality. I think we need to have local volunteers patrolling and checking. If only we raised our children as a community and taught them how to take care of each other, how to speak and how to know about rights. We will prevent a lot of abuse and silence on the same.
