The older you grow, do you think your perspective on things change?

This will be a weird example but I am currently rewatching ‘Scandal’ and when I first watched it; it was giving female empowerment, girl boss, smart women unite! But my second watch; it’s giving fornication, adultery, prostitution. So do you think our outlook in life changes as we grow older?
