Burnout doesn’t always look the same. For some, it’s fatigue. For others, it’s irritability, numbness, or even a sense of disconnection. Exploring what your unique signals are can create space for self-awareness, emotional growth, and healthier boundaries.
What do your “red flags” for burnout look like physically, emotionally, or even spiritually?

When I’m heading toward burnout, it shows up in layers — physical, emotional, and even spiritual — and usually the signs stack before I notice.
Physically:
Heavy, lead-like fatigue even after sleeping
Headaches or jaw tension that won’t go away
Restless but low-energy (wired but tired)
Random aches, stomach issues, or getting sick more often
Shallow breathing without realizing it
Emotionally:
Losing interest in things I normally enjoy
Irritability at tiny inconveniences
Feeling either numb or overly sensitive
Constant self-criticism or “nothing I do is enough” loop
Avoiding people, even the ones I love
Spiritually (or inner-world level):
Feeling disconnected from meaning or purpose
Life feels like it’s just a list of tasks to get through
No curiosity, no spark — even beautiful things feel flat
Cynicism replacing hope or gratitude
For me, the spiritual burnout signs are the last to show but the hardest to recover from — because they signal I’m not just tired, I’m depleted at the root.
