I do not dispute that the world is wicked.
Soul shattering grief was forced upon you
When the light left your lover’s eyes
It’s been a decade
And still that hatred runs through your veins
laughter disappeared from your house.
you do not allow yourself the simply joys of a sunrise
Will you forever frown at a smiling baby
Surely you need not cast evil at first light
Wallow in despair of a master that once kept you captive
You are your own master now.
Allowing to be followed by black shadows
Suspicious of every smile and jest
If you can gather a little of the light before cancer claimed your beloved
and see that there are still simple joys to indulge.

It is always seems hardest to grasp simple joys when complex dissilision clouds over us. Even if just for a moment.

The tension of opposites
Life’s a series of pulls back and forths
You want to do one thing but bound by another
Something hurts you, yet you know it shouldn’t
Taking certain things for granted ,even when you know you shouldn’t take anything for granted.
Your life seems to lack meaning, so we seek answers
From an old man whose life has been destroyed by a disease rendering him in need for others to wipe his rear end, yet he keeps a genuine smile on his face.
The man whose life was reduced to counting his breathe, to see how long he had left
He has days to live, and alot to give
Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom was like a breathe
of fresh air.

I do not know this man’s name
But ohh Yes!
His voice is like deep baritone
breaking the walls of my mental firewall
I’m just another romantic I guess,
Ohh yesss!!
He just pull the band aid off
Calling off all the games
He rasped my name
And ohhh yes!
He takes his sweet time to carres it
Not just fumbling over vowels and syllables
He seduces it, flowing it around his teeth
Like he wants to marinate it in his mouth
I’m now completely his, he owns me!
Tragically, I’ve become another cliché
And betrayed Tess of the Dubervile
So we flirt and rant and dance
But then ..
Just when he had me in his pocket
He said yay instead of nay to an absurd political point
The lights went out,
What can I say, I’m an impulsive lover.

Uganda is celebrated for having the best constitution. It covers almost everything there is,
Even article 3 of the constitution provides against revolution of an overthrow of a regime unless done as per the law that is, free and fair elections.
Now one would wonder where the problems come from if the laws are there.
All I can say is there are more so ceremonial.
So that our leaders can brag, ohh there is democracy……where is it?
Uganda is back in the period of elections and once again, the military is flooded on civilian streets. One would think military should be for the people, you wouldn’t think the same after witnessing the way they batter everyone.
And I mean everyone, civilians, politicians, advocates. NO ONE can survive.

Why would Parliament delegate a right to vote,
Make it look neat and span ,only for the executive to do the exact opposite and abuse this right.
And the funny thing, the judiciary either backs it up or turns a blind eye to abuse of constitutional right brought before them because of “technicalities”
All remained silent after the death of the late Segerinya Muhammad who happened to be a member of Parliament. A man for the people and was loud about it. To seal his lips, he was arrested in what any person can see was unlawful arrest together with his counter part Allan Ssewanyana. The judiciary kept the case in limbo for months playing push ,pull and tag.
Meanwhile the gruesome, inhumane torture that these men went through is unpleasant to think about.
Ssegirinya lost his life, Ssewanyana has never looked the same infact he has suspiciously left the lime light. But when he crawls his way back, he doesn’t speak the same…he looks broken!

Last year in November, Dr. Kiiza Besigye and Haji Lutale Obed were abducted from Nairobi Kenya in November 2024, leading up to the judicial circus we now witnesses. They were charged with unlawful possession of fire ammunition in a General Court Martial and treated like military offenders.
It went downhill from there,The supreme court ruled that a civilian could not be charged in a court martial. But that did not stop Parliament from amending the laws.
The UPDF act was amended to try CIVILIANS!!!! In a court martial, an act which showed the extent the ruling regime is willing to go to, to stay in power. Nevertheless, there case was transferred to civilian courts but that did not end the turmoil. It has been months, actually a year!,
Of adjurning, the case here and there. Without actually convicting them.
This is how the current regime has made sure that our election season always looks like.
Why?
There clock has run out but He, President Museveni, is prolonging the inevitable, he can’t stay in power forever!!!!!
Why else would they dangle the right to vote in our faces, only to keep it far away and punish us for wanting to exercise said right!!!!

No Face, No Name

She has no face or name, this friend of mine,

But ohh does she sing, sigh and rile me,

With that classic lightly Ugandan-tinged British accent.

The brain-pickers,

They that must psychoanalyse every damn thing on earth!

confine the anomaly that you are in the terms like,

Covert speech, inner voice, subvocalization

Trying and terribly failing to diminish that which you are to me

You came to me as I read Jane Eyer, baffled by all the emotions CHARLOTE Bronte poured into me with every page I turned

In that moment you whispered persistently reminding me of everything I should and shouldn’t say

A sharp-tongued voice seducing the ink on my page and tuning a voice to my lips

My friend has never left me yet!

But the clouds are dark and the brain pickers are at it again.

I hear the terms introvert, dissociative Identity whispered in corridors

I assure you, I’m not psychotic

This friend of mine is the version of me shielded from the accusing eyes of every breathing creature.

That’s why she doesn’t have a name or face
Because they cannot harm what they do not know.
