An Honest Explanation of the Rwanda Genocide (Documentary)
In the vibrant tapestry of human history, there exist moments of profound darkness, where the hues of despair and cruelty stain the canvas of time. Among these somber chapters stands the Rwandan genocide, a harrowing testament to the fragility of peace and the depths of human brutality.

The roots of the Rwandan genocide stretch back through the annals of time, entwined with a colonial legacy that sowed seeds of division and resentment among its people.

Rwanda: President Paul Kagame Sworn In For An Extended Fourth Term | Firstpost Africa
Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame was sworn into office on Sunday for a five-year term, after a landslide win in last month’s election with 99.18% of the vote. Kagame received a military 21-gun salute, accompanied by cheers from the crowd of 45,000 people. Twenty-two heads of state from African countries were in attendance. Kagame extends his iron-fisted rule to another 5 years, after eight other candidates including his most vocal critics were barred by the electoral commission for last month’s elections. Kagame won acclaim from Western and regional leaders for helping end the 1994 genocide and turning Rwanda into an attractive investment and aid destination. But he has been accused of allegations of rights abuses, suppression of dissent, and supporting the M23 rebels in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Kagame has denied all accusations.

Rwanda: From Genocide to this! | PassportHeavy.com
Africa’s cleanest and safest country blew my expectations out of the water!

There’s nothing better than having your expectations blown away by a city, especially when its media coverage hasn’t always been great. From what I saw and experienced, there’s a lot more the country has to offer. It shows what a country can do over time and with the right leadership. It’s no wonder The NBA’s BAL (Basketball Africa League) chose to launch its billion-dollar league in Rwanda. Rwanda is home to a booming infrastructure a rapidly growing city, a fantastic culture, and one of the lowest corruption indexes in the world. On top of all of this, It has stunning landscapes and beautiful nature that’ll blow your mind.

Rwanda Elections 2024 LIVE: Paul Kagame Sworn In For The Fourth Term as Rwanda’s President

Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame will be sworn in after being re-elected with 99.18% of the vote in July, extending his near quarter-century in office. The two men standing against him – Frank Habineza from the Democratic Green Party and independent Philippe Mpayimana – both conceded defeat in the 2024 elections, which rights groups say was marred by a crack-down on journalists, the opposition and civil society groups. A government spokesperson repeatedly rejected such criticism during the election period. Kagame, who got more than 93% of the vote in the last three elections, has won praise from Western and regional leaders for helping to end the 1994 genocide in Rwanda and rebuilding the country into an attractive destination for investment and aid.
