Kenya’s oldest football club, Abaluhya Football Club (AFC) Leopards, fondly known as ‘Ingwe,’ is marking its 60th anniversary this March. The festivities, aim to honor the club’s illustrious history, including 12 league titles, 10 domestic cups, and five Cecafa Club Championships.

As part of the celebrations, AFC Leopards will engage in an international friendly against Spanish fourth-tier side AE Ramassa at Nyayo Stadium on March 24, preceded by a thrilling encounter with rivals Gor Mahia. The club’s commitment to environmental conservation will be showcased through nationwide tree planting initiatives and inter-branch competitions on March 22, culminating in a grand celebration on 30th March at A.S.K showgrounds.

Despite recent challenges, AFC Leopards have demonstrated resurgence, currently on an impressive eight-game unbeaten streak. Notable alumni, like legendary Francis Kadenge, have contributed to the club’s rich legacy of speed and success on the field.
