It’s been long since I asked a question. This one is special!
So, do you have any friends, relatives, in the military in Kenya or the USA? Do you know some veteran friends or relatives? If you do, did they ever struggle with a psychological problem due to drugs, alcohol abuse, physical injury, loss of another or other soldiers? Do you know some who may be struggling with suicidal thoughts?
I personally identify closely with some, but really, do you have a story of one that you can share anonymously and that will challenge us to practice empathy towards these great men by hearing their story?
Have you ever thought of helping and what was on your mind?
Or do you feel like helping but don’t have that capacity to?
What would you wish for the them?
Salute to all the Military ⚔ and Veterans who served or continue to serve!
I was a military officer for around 8 years. The training reconfigures one’s DNA I guess. That said, working in the military is not a joke. I have lost friends. I have survived ambushes where my closest friend died. I have been in a gunfire situation for close to 8 hours nonstop. I have been in a faulty aircraft which almost took our lives.
When you see a military officer saunter into a bar, sit down at the corner by himself and order a cold drink, give that man respect.
I have serialized my life in the military in a book titled TALES OF THE WARFRONT. You can get it and read about experiences you may not think are possible
Thank you Musau for your response. It is wonderful when you tell your story then we can learn to live with our fellow military family and friends. I would love to read the book! How to get it?
