Omar al-Bashir some considered him to be former president of Sudan and others still see him as a guerrilla president who leads the country from his hideout which is known as Kobar prison. Omar al-Bashir was ousted in fabricated military coup which was planned by his very own state machinery based on the letter issued from the headquarters of the Sudanese national intelligence and security services dated 10/04/2019 one day before the so called military coup took place they arranged their coup to fool the revolutionaries who took to the streets as simple protests which was demanding for the prices of fuel and bread to be eased and later the protests grew into true revolution whose slogan was based on two Arabic words Tasgut-Bas تسقط بس (Just fall, that’s all) so they insisted that the corrupt and tyrannical government of Bashir must fall nothing like negotiation with regime could take place the only solution could be for the Bashir and his government to go and people will decide which type of system of governance to adopt so the insistence of the peaceful revolution became more powerful than the Bashir’s genocidal regime’s state machinery and he had to leave the power but in fabricated military coup to make sure his regime remains in power after his fall so that’s the reason why Sudanese peaceful revolutionaries are still in the streets.
Before protests what left Bashir’s regime to reach to this point is that Islamic Fundamentalist Regime which he’s been leading has committed genocide against black people of Darfur west Sudan in 2003 which is considered to be twenty first century’s first genocide through arming nomadic Arab tribes to kill and move the blacks from their land and bringing non-Sudanese nomadic Arab tribes from neighbouring countries like Chad, Niger, Mali, Central African Republic and Mauritania to establish what they call an Arab Islamic State so those poor landless Arabs who were nomadic in those countries brought by the Bashir’s genocidal regime to weed-out black population from their very own land to establish sectarian state which could become base for the world’s greatest terrorist network. And the Bashir’s genocidal regime’s state machinery did not just commit crimes against humanity, war crimes and genocide in Darfur but also in other black populated regions like Blue Nile and Nuba Mountains
In his effort to get ride of black population in Darfur to settle new comers from the countries listed above he formed Pro-government militias known as Janjaweeds from those Arab tribes from within the country and new comers to weed-out black indigenous population so those militias were initially armed by the Bashir’s government but they mostly used horses and camels to raid villages and around 2013 Bashir modernized the Janjaweeds into more motorized military militias who can move between 500-1000 vehicles in one convoy and they have direct contact with Bashir rather than other senior military figures so Bashir lost trust in national army and depended mostly on modern Janjaweeds known as Rapid Support Forces these are the very militias who committed crimes of genocide and they are the very reason why Bashir and most of his senior figures are indicted by the international criminal court (ICC) in 2009 by then the innocent civilians who were killed by those militias in Darfur alone were 300,000 and Bashir admitted killing only 10,000!
And now the victims of Darfur region alone are more than 500,000 plus other area like Blue Nile and Nuba Mountains where the daily massacres are still going on and what’s very funny is that the very leader of the Janjaweeds who have massacred hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians and their leader Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemiti) who’s uneducated neither in military nor other educational institutions is promoted rapidly to higher ranks until recently he’s being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General and being secretly endorsed by the Bashir’s regime which is still clinging into power brought as vice president of the military council so the leaders of the Janjaweeds who claim to have made military coup and supported the people’s revolution plus Bashir should go to international criminal court ICC because there’s no independent Court which can put on trial those war lords who committed heinous crimes against humanity, war crimes and genocide because all those beings who call themselves military or militias council have blood on their hands they don’t qualify morally to claim trying any one and all institutions have been politicised for the last thirty years have been serving the regime cannot claim to do justice against their very own boss so Bashir should go to ICC to account for the crimes his regime has committed for the last thirty years.
He should go to ICC because, when he faces trials in his own country there will be no justice.
African Leaders should be prosecuted in Africa. It will symbolize our freedom and sovereignty as well as respect (even though criminals lack) to our systems and laws.
ICC is an international body therefore its sovereignty presides over most if not all nations….he should face his judgement there…only then will his sentence be not biased
