I cannot see any change from current leadership in Africa but challenges such as corruption, intra state conflict, poverty, unemployment continue to affect the entire region.

The African continent is still facing serious challenges of development regardless of leadership changes. Dependency in Africa introduced corruption, fraud, underdeveloped infrastructure, poor leadership, and unsustainable development. Under development in Africa is mostly caused by the type of leaders that are elected to take leadership positions in Africa.

The economic status of former leaders in the African continent after African independence says a lot about why Africa is still underdeveloped. The money that is spent on corruption could have a positive impact on African development. Africa is not united and cannot be united unless corruption is properly addressed. Leaders in Africa do not want to see a united Africa because they will lose a lot of money that they receive through corrupt activities.

African leaders are responsible for the current poverty and underdevelopment of Africa. African leaders, previous and current leaders have not been able to find a model that will work for Africa. Their focus has been on continuing importing western-based models which do not work for most African countries.

Not much. Instead, they are the ones oppressing the very people they are meant to rescue from the chains of poverty.

Yes, African leaders are creating change. For example the formation of the EAC. This is to allow the East African countries to conduct an open trade within the menber countries so as to grow their economy. Leaders are also targeting at exporting more goods to the west and importing less, among other good things that our leaders are doing. They want to grow their countries and avoid over dependance on the west
